Hello, and welcome to my little corner on the internet!
I like to solve problems. Big problems, small problems; I want to put the pieces together. These days I do most of my problem solving with software. Sometimes that means building an automated pipeline for tracing neuron structures, designing and implementing a decentralized, and distributed microblogging platform on top of the Raft consensus protocol, or developing a back-end web service for consuming and validating invoices from the ground up.
I have worked in collaborative team settings, and I have led my own efforts. You will find me just as comfortable managing any phase of the software development lifecycle, from design and inception, through development, iteration and maintenance.
I am an educator, a researcher, and developer. Sometimes I write about it.
